You've only got one hundred years to live.

Before your read this blog post, please read the lyrics:

I'm 15 for a moment
Caught in between 10 and 20
And I'm just dreaming
Counting the ways to where you are

I'm 22 for a moment
And she feels better than ever
And we're on fire
Making our way back from Mars

15 there's still time for you
Time to buy and time to lose
15, there's never a wish better than this
When you only got 100 years to live

I'm 33 for a moment
Still the man, but you see I'm a 'they'.
A kid on the way, babe
A family on my mind

I'm 45 for a moment
The sea is high
And I'm heading into a crisis
Chasing the years of my life

15 there's still time for you
Time to buy and time to lose yourself
Within a morning star

15 I'm all right with you
15, there's never a wish better than this
When you've only got 100 years to live

Half time goes by
Suddenly you're wise
Another blink of an eye
67 is gone
The sun is getting high
We're moving on

I'm 99 for a moment
Dying for just another moment
And I'm just dreaming
Counting the ways to where you are

15 there's still time for you
22 I feel her too
33 you're on your way
Every day's a new day

15 there's still time for you
Time to buy and time to choose
Hey 15, there's never a wish better than this
When you only got 100 years to live

Whenever I feel like time goes by too fast, or that I wish I could re-do something; I listen to this song. When you feel like you're old; listen to this song.

It helps.

Live.

Do more.

Be more.

Love more.

I am...

I am Jennalou; queen of every category I fall under. Nerdy, smart, boring, and so much more.
But the sentence "I am..." is never finished. It's never ending; like Pi. "I am" is interminable.

You can never sum yourself up. You can never know who you are because you are bound to change.

You are everything.

I am really Adriana. That's what people know me by. Adriana is dramatic, selfish, uncharming, and fake. That's who I was.

& then I changed.

I became Jenna, which in turn became Jennalou.

I left school and came to terms with myself. With who I wanted to be.

I wanted to be the girl who changes the world and if not the world, atleast change someone's life even if just for a moment.

Jennalou is caring, unselfish, demanding, kind, generous, sweet and smart but most of all -- real.

She was a guppy in the ocean surrounded by sharks so she tried to blend in, thus turning into a shark.

Then she left and slowly started transforming into a beautiful guppy. It was awkward at first. She had the face of a guppy but a shark tail. She had guppy fins but the body of a shark. The transformation didn't happen overnight.

And now she's here; certain that she'll be okay. She'll make it out alive because the sharks are in the water. They'll always be unless they come to turns with themselves and if they don't, they'll choke. They'll die in the water. It'll be pollouted and they'll never have a breath of fresh air. They'll never see differently.

Be yourself.

Just let it be.

I hate when people say "Just let it be". I can never let anything be. I can never just be. You always have expectations and you can never just be who you are. Don't tell me you've never changed yourself to fit in. Don't tell me you've never pretended to be something your not.

I've done it. I've pretended and faked and did everything I said I was never going to do. But sometimes, thing's just happen.

...I feel like I'm in an AA meeting. Confession time, teenies.

I know this post might seem depressing or upsetting but don't tell me you never think about it, even at such a young age.

College.

We all want to get into Ivy League (Harvard or Princeton for me).
We're so young but we do so much to make that dream happen. I've been a Princeton girl since the day I watched Cinderella Story (which stars our beloved Hilary Duff and Chad Michael Murray). I've been a Harvard girl since I thought about the possibility of becoming a lawyer.

I can't say why I chose those schools as I have no clue myself but I will make Ivy League a possibility for me. I'll take honors and AP and do an insane amount of charity work to make it happen. I'd sacrifice a social life (I don't even have one. I have my family which is good enough for me. You can only rely on yourself and your family. I promise you that.) to get into Harvard or Princeton.

I live & breath those schools.

I'm the kind of girl who will not give up. I always pick myself back up and try again. Some things do get me down, but I just remember that this is life and life is learning. Life has it's up's and down's and you've just got to accept it and move on or you'll get nowhere.

My biggest fear is going nowhere.

Now, I'm going to be cheesy and quote the Hannah Montana movie.

"Life's a climb; but the view's great."

I know it's a movie and movie's aren't real life. They're scripted but that doesn't mean it can't be inspiring or that it can't pick you up on a bad day.

Just be yourself. Never accept the word "no". Never say you can't. Never say you won't because you NEVER know.

-Jenna

P.S. - Thank you Libbs & Sarah for following my blog. Like I stated, I'm just a teenager with alot going on in my head and is constantly thinking about the future. I love you both dearly and I love how mature you are because I can still talk to people my age who are on my level. Seriously. I love you.

first short, useless post.

Well, I wouldn't say useless but it's a little more of a backing info and in no way will this blog post make you smarter.

I've started countless blogs and I never understood why. It was basically like talking to yourself, except it was out there for the world to see (by chance that someone unluckily stumbled across it).

I never knew what to talk about or to post or anything but after weeks of fighting with myself, I caved in and created a blog for the simple reason of wanting to have one (and the minor fact that I love talking but that's beside the point).

This particular blog is just a place for a lonely teenage girl to voice her opinion. I'll be talking about anything that comes to mind from music to shopping to school to lyrics, poetry, writing, politics and so much more. I may be young but that has nothing to do with knowledge that I store in a thing called the brain.

Now, I need to go finish assignment 9.04A & 9.04B before I go to bed at ten.

I hope that if you accidentally stumble across this blog, that is does something good for you.
